SKM Software creates Utilities, Learning Aids, Screen Savers and 3D Games. Many of our programmes, available via the internet, are freeware.

Learning Aid Programmes

Learning Aids have been developed with Special Educational Needs in mind, although, they can be easily used for Early Learning as well. Programmes where created for use in the UK and this will be reflected in the software, I.e., UK pounds and pence (not dollars and cents), spelling, etc.

A small percentage of our programmes are unsuitable for use on servers, networks or computers with hard drive writing restrictions. This is because the programmes need to write to the hard drive.

3D Games

Many of our 3D games are created in house - 3D models, 3D scenery and 2D graphics. In many cases it is possible to see how we created our models by looking at our modelling pages. Our 3D Game development is constantly evolving. Many of our Games are developed as test programmes. However, they are complete games in their own right. New features are continually being developed, expanded and added. Each new programme, developed by SKM Software, draws on knowledge and experience gained from previous test programmes. We strive to create, interesting, simple and fun games. Our 3D Games run on Windows 98, NT4, ME and XP. They should also work on Windows 95, providing all updates and directX 8 - or above - is installed.

Our software's role of honour:

November 2003 -- We have been approached by publishers of COMPUTER VIGNAN - Telugu computer magazine of Andhra, Pradesh, in India. They are to host some of our programmes on their cover CD. (Planet Tour VR, Times Tables, Spelling Test and Tiger 144).

April 2003 -- We have been contacted, by a company representative, with reference to including Tiger144, Earth Defence and HMS Net, on their forthcoming compilation CD.

Summer 2002 -- Tiger 144 appeared on the demo CD of the German PC games Magazine PC Action! - Site is in German.
